Very Berry Petite!

Team GB's Medal Success!



Watching the closing ceremony of the London 2012 games, I am feeling quite sad that it is all coming come to an end, but what an amazing games it has been!

I feel so proud of Team GB, who have been branded the best Olympic team Britain has ever had, which is certainly true if the medal table is anything to go by. 

Winning a total of 65 medals, with19 bronze, 17 silvers and 29 golds, Team GB came 3rd overall in the London 2012 Olympics, making it Britain's most successful Olympic games in history. The success in our of number of medals added to the fact that our very own spectacular city, London was the host city means that we will definately not be forgetting it in a hurry!

To celebrate Team GB's medal success, I have found the best petite bronze, silver and gold outfits the high street has to offer so you can shimmer and shine with pride!!

I am loving Asos Petite's current collection and following my previous petite post, focused on an Asos Petite sequined dress, this post is dedicated to their stunning 50's body kickersuit which is almost a EXACT replica from Prada's SS12 collection!

I LOVE everything pink, sparkly and girly soI fell in love with this dress worn by actress Ashley Tisdale to the Premier of the upcoming film 'The Rock of Ages'!

At a tiny 5'3" Ashley really manages to stand out from the crowd in this stunningly shimmering dress and is a true petite sequin inspiration! Every Friday on ITV's morning show 'Lorraine' stylist Antonia O'Brian helps viewers solve their fashion woes in the show's feature 'Style Dilemma'.

I was delighted to see that this mornings Style Dilemma was dedicated to styling for petites!

Click on the link above to view the clip, which shows Anotonia give petite viewer Claire, (who stands at only 5'2, has a size 8 - 10 figure and tiny size 3 feet) two new outfits to perfectly suit her small frame!

Why not try out some of the great tips Antonia gives Claire to make yourself both look and feel taller - I particularly loved the tip of being abe to create the illusion of having longer legs by simply teaming cropped jeans with a nude heel or wedge!    

I've taken on Antonia's tip and had a little look for some alternative leg lenghtening options combining these two items. ASOS Petite have some cute pastel pink skinny jeans which could be folded to create the cropped look, and with pasels being a HUGE trend for SS12 they will be a great petite purchase! Team these with some beautiful nude wedges, which are also from ASOS to complete the height illusion - these start from a UK size 3 so are perfect for tiny feet!
